We are looking to recruit a Full Time Solicitor to work with the Family Team.
You will assist and contribute as a Full Time Solicitor in the Family Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor with solid experience in private Family matters to join an excellent Legal 500 firm in Bristol and North Somerset.
Your experience will have been gained at a respected firm, with proven fee earning and client development skills. Experience of dealing with mid to high net worth clients would be an advantage. Family Panel membership or an ambition of working towards such would also be an advantage but this is not essential.
The caseload will be comprised exclusively of privately funded work dealing with Family Law matters, with a keen focus on divorce/dissolution and financial remedy alongside private children law matters. You will also have experience in dealing with cohabitation disputes, pre-marital and living together agreements and deeds of separation.
A solid track record in dealing with financial matters is a necessity due to the focus of the caseload that would be taken on in this role.
The main duties of the role will involve:
- Sustaining a thriving caseload;
- Undertaking caseload administration;
- Being proactive by engaging in team and firmwide business development, including a rota system for a monthly advice clinic taking place one Saturday a month in Portishead and two weekday evening once a month in Bristol;
- Dealing with matters proactively from commencement to conclusion and offering a high level of client care;
- Achieving and maintaining chargeable hours and fee income targets;
- Utilising secretarial and paralegal support available in the team where appropriate;
The successful candidate must be a keen and proactive family lawyer, with good case management skills and a keenness to build upon their successes in family law. You would be joining a dynamic team which has seen notable growth and successes in recent years through the team’s enthusiasm, passion for Family law and through successful business development.
We would be very keen to hear from suitable candidates as soon as possible.
You will be required not only to provide advice to clients on the best legal action available to them, but also to contribute to business development, including marketing activities and attending networking events. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
We are seeking a Solicitor with around 3 to 5 years’ post qualification experience, with knowledge and working experience in family law.
