Seroxat Litigation

You may have heard that an Inquiry into Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibited drugs (SSRI), such as Seroxat and Prozac, was announced last week by the Committee on the Safety of Medicines (CSM).

Last week, the government finally bowed to the mounting pressure for an independent inquiry and, at the same time, the Head of the Government's drugs watchdog will also allow some patients, who claim their lives have been blighted by addiction to these drugs, to give evidence to the CSM. The issue is whether the pill, designed to restore the takers' confidence and happiness, can instead have a devastating effect leading to addiction and, in some cases, suicide attempts.

Further information regarding the outcome of the Inquiry will be posted, once known.
