Businesses that create innovative products and services, or simply come up with great ideas, are getting a little extra help from the Government, with the launch of two information booklets and an e-newsletter to provide support for small businesses that need to protect their intellectual property (IP).
The move has been welcomed by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Mike Cherry, the Financial Affairs Chairman, says: "Small businesses produce 60% of commercial innovations in the UK and it is vital to the country's economic success that their ideas are protected, not stolen."
Intellectual property is often the most valuable asset of a company. To review the protection of your IP please contact one of our intellectual property experts.
