The entrepreneurial spirit appears to be flourishing in the UK. More than half of all adults in the country have at some time considered setting up their own business, according to a recent survey carried out by YouGov on behalf of the Entrepreneurs Organisation.
Around 55% of men want to set up their own business compared to 44% of women, according to the findings.
In the over-55 age group, a healthy 42% of people wanted to set up in business, compared to 60% of those aged 25 to 34. One of the biggest issues faced by new entrepreneurs which can cause delays is red tape. To get on with business, it is advisable to let someone experienced take care of the paperwork and legal formalities.
